You'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing hazards, and mitigating potential financial and legal risks. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Identify and assess financial, safety, and security risks for the County.
  • Analyze the probability and impact of these risks on operations, crafting strategies to manage them effectively while considering costs and benefits.
  • Design and maintain safety programs tailored to each department’s requirements.
  • Ensure all safety programs comply with current health and safety laws and industry norms.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials covering workplace ergonomics, hazardous material handling, and fire safety among other areas.

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Enviornmental Health, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Two to three year of experience and or training in risk management or safety roles.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drivers license.

 PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Four to six years of related experience or training in risk management or safety roles, preferably in a governmental or similar organizational setting. 
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Risk Manager) are preferred.

Salary & Benefits
Hiring Salary range is $75,732 - $86,652, based on candidate’s successful experience and qualifications.   Regular salary increases based on successful performance, up to $97,494.
